Kern and Adelaine Lee's Wedding and My Kebaya

Singapore, August 10, 2009
Shang-Rila Island Ballroom

Kern and Adelaine "Dolly" Lee's wedding was my second wedding celebration I have attended in Singapore.
Exclusively for this wedding, I nominate it as one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever been to. Simply stunning and elegant. I enjoyed myself. I'm glad I can actually be a part of the wedding celebration.

Yes, I did sing for them:
  • The Prelude with Mike Blanding and Angelene Tjoandi in "Fly Me to the Moon". Re-arranged by us three and our beloved person on keys, Arnold Manzano (brother of the bride).
  • The Procession with the ENCS Music Team in "That Is Why". Re-arranged by Arnold, Angel and me.
  • The Worship with the ENCS Music Team (complete with Ps Neli and Tina Atiga) in "Shout to the Lord" and "There Is None Like You"
Nervous, yes. Most importantly, I'm really dedicating my singing to God for just giving me that talent, which I will always be thankful for, and to Dolly for just being a great encourager and friend. Oh, and to my PARENTS who are VERY supportive in so many ways to help me cultivate that talent. Hope I did make them all proud!!

The fact that I wore my Kebaya that day made me wanna jump up and down in joy! It was my VERY first Kebaya and I it is VERY beautiful. Thanks to Majalah Kartini (magazine) for the design inspiration and to Ms Nadia Adiprana (and husband) for taking the time to drive me all the way to the tailor (TWICE!) despite their busy schedule. Yes, my first Kebaya is custom made and design by myself. Woots! I'm urged to make another one when I'm in Jakarta =D

Here are the results..... Paparazzi swormed to take pictures of both Angel and I in Kebaya.

So whaddya think?

Substituting my play time (and surely sleep time) to exchange the time lost.
Wait, it's not lost. It went to something great. Relationship and encouragement.

GOOD NEWS!
Will be starting my vocal lesson SOON! Finally... the moment I've been waiting for. I need it already. Going another level in developing myself.

True Love

In my inbox this morning .....

It was a busy morning, about 08:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 09:00 am. While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease. As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late.He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now. I was surprised, and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are? 'He smiled as he patted my hand and said, 'She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is.' I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, 'That is the kind of love I want in my life.'

True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be. The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have. I hope you share this with someone you care about. I just did.

Not a Typical Monday, but Can Be

Thinking about Math assignment at this hour!
Thinking about Music Arrangement assignment too!
READINGS! Whoa!

Been relaxing and taking things easy lately.
Trying to not make homework or work a chore. It's not if I don't make it to be.

Pilates -- I love to hit the gym just for this class.
Felt so refreshed and healthy right after. Psychological?
Just a day, can it make a difference?
The genius who put this idea into action --->
(Joseph Hubertus Pilates)

Eating late -- a big NO NO, but can't help it. Need that dinner after a heavy workout.
Fish, olio fussili, coleslaw, lime juice -- finished 3/4 portion only. A good start of living healthy again, I suppose.

Still aiming at 2 kg above ideal weight. IT'S POSSIBLE! Hurrah Fitness First!

That's my Monday. What's the menu for tomorrow?

I'm IN!

Welcome to the new blog!

First posting is rather confusing... It's late already and I have a class tomorrow. So I shall keep it as short as possible.

The reason I change the blog address is because I was lazy to maintain the other blog as it requires me to sign in with my old email address, which will affect my current gmail address. Basically, I change the blog so that I can sign in with my highly utilized gmail address.

So, do LINK me up and leave a comment or shout or give something nice for me.. I'll be sure the blog will be filled. At least with updates =]

xoxo
